Midstream Project
Summary
Flatirons Midstream constructed the Spring Brook System (“Spring Brook”) over a 16 month period and went operational in April 2015. Located outside of the town of Williston in Williams County, ND, Spring Brook comprises gas gathering, processing and gas lift service for producers in the Williston Basin.
Spring Brook was and still is a first-of-its-kind midstream system in the basin. In addition to traditional gathering and processing, Spring Brook has a centralized gas lift design that provides producers with high pressure, dry gas sourced from the tailgate of the plant. For producers gas lift is a preferred lifting mechanism that significantly enhances producer economics by maximizing wellhead fluid production. Over the past 4 plus years Spring Brook has demonstrated incremental producer well head revenues ranging from 15% to 45% over conventional pump jack lift systems. The centralized design is superior to field compression concepts in offering premium gas quality, streamlined producer interface and virtually zero downtime.
Spring Brook continues to be a success story for Flatirons. The system has averaged 99% runtime since inception, which has served to maximize gas capture and maximize gas-lifted oil production. Flatirons services multiple producers and has expanded its capacity from an original 45 MMcfd to the current 70 MMcfd.
